The Adventure Begins Here

Creating a bespoke costume for your child is capturing a childhood memory.

Here is a little overview of how things work, when you order something bespoke.

Moodboard

A mood board with fabric choices, a sketch and options for haberdashery is the basis for all bespoke commissions.

This is also the time to send measurements and discuss any special wishes in terms of material choices or sourcing.

First contact

Everything starts with a message.

Let me know what kind of costume you are looking for, whether you have a preference in terms of style and when you need the costume.

Pattern Making & Sewing

Once you are happy with all the details discussed, you can place the order,  fabrics and haberdashery  will be sourced, patterns be drafted and sewing starts.

I'll keep you up to date throughout the process to let you be part of the adventure.

Ready for dispatch

Ready to receive some costume magic? Delivery depends on how fast we can agree on a design, fabric can be ordered in, patterns can be made and how fast I can bring your design to live.

Please expect longer lead times between September and February. Slots for bespoke and make to order costumes ahead of Halloween, Christmas or Carnival can fill up fast. Please get in touch early.

Need some inspiration?

Have a look at some of the bespoke commissions I've made over the years.

There are no boundaries as to what costume can be made for your child.  Unique pieces make unique memories for an unforgettable childhood.

If you see something that inspires you, please get in touch for a quote.

Looking for something abstract?

Is it a pancake? A coin? A dot? The moon? Or a piece of cheese? Did you hear that cloud crinkle? Where does the flamin-go?

Costumes as conversation points, as storytellers and as sensory experience for a child. A small collection of my costumes can be enjoyed on the theater space of the Young V&A Children's Museum London.

Historical costumes

Put on a bonnet or a tricorn hat, and suddenly the past isn’t so far away. Dressing up lets kids time travel with their imaginations and makes history feel real, fun, and unforgettable. And if your child wants to feel like Queen Elizabeth I or Christopher Columbus, then I'd be happy to make them a costume for this experience, too.
