2018 Favourites

 

Remember when you were seven and raided your grandmother’s dress-up closet? The disused parking lot became a far away planet on which Captain Hook could fall in love with Little Red Riding Hood, an Astronaut was saved by a Wizard and a Raven danced with a Harlequin. The 2018 favourites are all about bringing the imagination back into play. The costumes are designed to make your kids’ dress-up dreams come true wherever they are and whoever they imagine to be.

A busy week making gekkos, superheroes, snow owls and Harry Potter costumes (including secret pockets for magic wands!). Have a look in my stories for some pictures of what went on. The studio is back open and I'm starting with a big THANK YOU to all my customers & supporters, - YOU! Here are the "Best Nine of 2018" and they show such a great mix the wonderful projects, commissions, regular "bests" and personal highlights of last year. The superhero project 💥 for @gosh_international and @superhope_org was the most rewarding on a very personal level, making the Belle dress 💛 for @alisonhubble was a lovely challenge for pattern making and technique, making each and every bird cape remains a joy 🐦, the astronaut 👨‍🚀 was a new one for 2018 and is looking to become a classic, the harlequin accessories remain an all time bestseller and then there was The Mini Elton John 🎉 (no words needed, pure costume bliss)! Thank you also to @melaneekate 📷 for bringing my Halloween collection to life thorough her camera.
